The world is becoming a kinder place. This is evident in the great support and kindness the world is showing Japan in the midst of the tsunami disaster. In Korea, there are numerous organizations, schools, and religious groups rallying to help the Japanese victims of the Tsunami. There are fundraising boxes on the streets, churches, temples, schools, and offices. All this is quite heartwarming. Koreans are putting aside long-felt animosity for the Japanese, which stems from the long history of warring and conflict. Several Korean celebrities have donated hundreds of thousands of dollars each to help Japan. The Jogye Order donated $90,000 USD and sent a team to Japan to investigate ways to help.
