Under the slogan "Peace of Mind, Peace of the World," the 2025 International Seon Meditation Summit, which began in April, came to a successful close with a conference held on October 29 at the Grand Conference Hall of the National Assembly Members' Office Building in Seoul. The conference, titled “Awakening Education, Connecting People - A Proposal for Transforming Education Toward Holistic Development,” was co-hosted by 25 members of the National Assembly and the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism.
The summit, hosted by the Jogye Order, opened on April 1 at Bongeunsa Temple in Seoul. From April 1 to 6, the temple hosted a variety of events, including a Seon meditation concert (meditative music), talk-show-style meditation sessions on love and career issues, and 108 Seon meditation sessions open to participants of all levels from beginners to seasoned practitioners.

According to the Jogye Order’s Future Planning Office, over the course of 212 days, the summit drew approximately 350,000 participants, with 145 meditation programs led by over 100 instructors at 40 key temples nationwide.

In the closing remarks delivered by Venerable Geumgang on behalf of Venerable Jinwoo, President of the Jogye Order, it was emphasized, “Knowing that peace of mind is the beginning of happiness, I hope the serenity gained through Seon meditation will extend to homes, workplaces, and every corner of society. Even just five minutes a day-sting still, observing your breath, and feeling awareness-can enrich and enlighten our lives.”
