There is not a piece of roof tile above,  

and not a single spot below to drive a nail.   

The sun sets and the moon rises,  

I do not recognize. Who is this?

Though poor as Fan Dan, your spirit is like that of Xiang Yu. Harmonizing with the six principles of cordiality and diligently investigating Hwadu, even the scorching heat of June feels cool.

Do not find it strange that it looks void and there is not a thing. Your household affairs have always been like this, so do not say there is nothing, for it is all originally empty.  

A chilling wind brings frost and snow to fill the sky while mysteriously entering in the wisdom realm of Manjushri. A warm breeze brings green and yellow hues to cover the ground, while stepping onto the high path of Samantabhadra. 

The profound secret of the direct transmission,  

Originally neither Buddha nor mind.  

Clearly, without receiving the prophecy of Dipankara Buddha,

A sacred light shines through ancient and modern times.
