Bohyun Buddha Temple had its origins as a Buddhist center in a modest residential apartment back in 1987. Until 2010, around 30 monastics took turns residing at the temple, contributing to its gradual expansion. Subsequently, in 2010, it became fully established as a temple. Presently, Bohyun Buddha Temple sees around 50 attendees for its Sunday Dharma services, with an additional 15 individuals participating regularly in the Seon meditation group. It also hosts a Buddhist college, Youth Dharma group, Bohyun Society, Munsu Society, and more, each tailored to specific age groups or classes to propagate the genuine teachings of the Buddha in the United States.
