Musangam is a small temple dedicated to Seon Buddhist meditation and studies, situated a few kilometers away from the Gulf of La Spezia, known as the "Bay of Poets," in Eastern Riviera, Italy. The resident monks at Musangam are disciples of Master Ilgak, who served as the senior teacher at Songgwangsa Temple in Korea. They accumulated experience through practice at various temples in Korea before embarking on missionary work in Italy. Musangam serves as the headquarters of the Bodhidharma Community, which is a member of the Italian Buddhist Union. The temple has modest facilities for visitors, providing accommodation to a small number of visitors with an opportunity to practice mindfulness, participate in meditation programs, and observe the five precepts during their stay.
